Historic Structures Reports & HABS/HAER
Documentation
Diana Painter, principal of Painter Preservation & Planning,
has developed measured drawings of buildings for a range of purposes
from documentation to preparing for rehabilitation of a structure.

professionals to provide services in HABS documentation and rehabilitation
design.
Martin Farm, Petaluma, CA
Documentation of the Martin Farmstead involved creating measured
drawings, photographic and written documentation for archival purposes,
as a record of this 17-acre in-city farmstead. As these small farms
are lost to development, it is important to document the buildings
as a record of a way of life now that now exists in such environments
only in the past.
M. Vonsen and the First Street Warehouses, Petaluma, CA
Documentation of the three warehouses and mill on First Street in
Petaluma involved creating measured drawings, photographic and written
documentation for archival purposes, as these buildings were demolished
for redevelopment. This documentation records Petalumas history
as a port that got its start shipping agricultural goods. These
buildings were an important part of this history that deserves to
be remembered, and a dramatic presence on the waterfront.
D. Miller Residence Renovation, Henrietta, TX*
Development of a new color scheme and landscape design for the grounds
of this early twentieth century Classical Revival structure complemented
the sympathetic renovation of the house interiors.
United Methodist Church Parsonage Renovation, Seattle, WA
The measured drawings of this 1916 four-story wood-frame parsonage
were undertaken in preparation for future renovation of the structure.
Hartford College Music Library Rehabilitation, Merion, PA*
Renovation of the Hartford College Music Library, within a Neo-Gothic
stone building, involved removing earlier unsympathetic renovations
and restoring the structures original vaulted ceilings.
CRRNJ Terminal Building, Liberty State Park, NJ*
Historically accurate drawings and sketches were developed to illustrate
the potential for adaptive re-use of this historic terminal and
site at Liberty State Park.
